On the surface, everything appears fine, but you feel anxious and out of sorts. Work, relationships and other responsibilities are piling up and you’re feeling overwhelmed, maybe even a bit alone. When we feel safe and connected, crisis and suffering can be opportunities to awaken potential. Therapy is a collaborative process which allows us to look at areas in your life that cause distress, explore patterns, and identify ways to adjust your thoughts and behaviors to create positive change. I work individual clients and couples/partners (poly & kink affirming).
I take a person-centered, evidence-based and trauma-informed approach. As a queer-identified therapist, I enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients and allies. I help people with issues related to identity, life transitions, depression, anxiety, mood instability, chronic relational problems, existential crises, and the impacts of discrimination.
Whether your first time in therapy or not, beginning new can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to. To help put your mind at ease and answer questions you may have, I offer a free 20-minute virtual consultation for prospective clients. Get to know more about my practice and approach on my website.
“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.”
