I’m a LGBTQ+-identified (he/they) therapist and artist, born and raised in the suburbs, but Philadelphia is where I currently live and practice. In between, I’ve landed in London, Washington, D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, and Hudson (NY), traveling with my companion, a sweet and rowdy Jack Russell named Naj.

After many years working in higher education, I returned to graduate school to pursue a degree in clinical mental health. I have a Masters of Fine Arts degree in performance and dance from George Washington University, where I taught as a professor before receiving my Masters of Arts degree in clinical mental health counseling from Naropa University. In addition, I hold a Certificate of Ecopsychology from Pacific University and certification in EMDR.

Before moving into private practice in Philadelphia, I was a somatic psychotherapist working with LGBTQ+ youth and adults in Denver, Colorado at a community mental health clinic.

I practice psychotherapy through a mindfulness-based, social justice-oriented, and relational lens. My work is also rooted in activism and anti-racism.

I am supervised by Sarah Mello MA, MS, LPC, ACS (NJ #37PC00607500).

Choosing a therapist is a big deal. How do I know if we will be a good fit?

We are likely to enjoy working together if at least a couple of the following are true…

  • Sometimes/often/always don’t fit in traditional or “normative” ways of doing things

  • Wonder/hope there’s something more or deeper in this world for you to discover

  • Are curious about the world, and find pleasure in seemingly little things

  • Are comfortable with humor and play being part of our work
