Jarman on Hatchfund: Making the idea grow through crowd-sourcing

Screen Shot 2013-12-15 at 2.18.36 PMIt is that time of the year when non-profits are making the case for holiday giving.  force/collision is not any different.  However, rather than just giving you a tax-receipt, we want to give you a seat at our next project, Jarman (all this maddening beauty).  This exciting collaboration marks a continued relationship between OBIE Lifetime Achievement Award-winning playwright Caridad Svich and force/collision.  We began with Gun Control Theatre Action, sprouted from NoPassport theatre alliance and now we are inspired to develop a performance for Caridad’s new text about a fascinating artist and queer icon, Derek Jarman.

Here’s how it works:  give us $20 now and we’ll give you a ticket to one of the 9 premiere performances of Jarman (all this maddening beauty) at Atlas Performing Arts Center, April 17-27, 2014.    Don’t miss the chance to see the inception of this project before it takes off to out-of-DC venues.  We’re excited to share this opportunity to play a vital role in seeing  Jarman be the first project from force/collision with its eyes set on an international tour.

Not only are you getting a seat with $20, you’re the key to continuing the challenging, visceral material we wish to create and play.  If $20 is out of reach, you can play an equally important role by sharing our campaign with 20 friends.

Check out our campaign below and get more information about the project, the people involved and our campaign perks!
